Privacy Policy for IconColor
Last Updated: March 22, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to IconColor ("we," "our," or "us"). IconColor is a local-first reference tool for searching public app and podcast listings, collecting icons and color palettes, saving historical icon versions, and managing related downloads and preferences.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, where that information is stored, when information may be sent to third-party services, and what choices you have.
Information We Process
IconColor does not require you to create an account with us, and we do not operate our own user data backend for the app's core experience. Most app data is stored locally on your device.
Depending on how you use the app, IconColor may process the following categories of information:
- Search input and recent search history, including selected App Store region and search type.
- Favorites and library data, including saved icons, saved color palettes, tags, and historical icon records.
- Download history and related metadata used to help you revisit previously downloaded assets.
- App preferences such as language, appearance, and certain display settings.
- Local usage counters used to enforce free-plan limits, such as daily download or palette-copy counts.
- Subscription state needed to unlock paid features, including locally cached entitlement status and purchase restoration results provided through Apple.
- Images you explicitly save to your photo library or import from your photo library for historical version management.
- Temporary cache files, image cache data, extracted palette data, and local diagnostic information used for app stability and performance.
How We Use This Information
We process the above information only to operate the app's features, including:
- Searching public app and podcast listings.
- Displaying icons, metadata, and extracted color palettes.
